On the afternoon of September 8, our university held the Opening Ceremony for the 2023 International Students and the Orientation Session for All International Students. Bi Tianshu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Heads of the International Education Institute, Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School, Logistics Management Office, Security Office, Campus Hospital and other units, as well as all international students, attended the meeting.

In her speech, Xu Lingling, Secretary of the Party Committee of the International Education Institute, encouraged new international students to cherish the opportunity to study, actively participate in various cultural exchange activities, strictly abide by Chinese laws and regulations and school disciplines, and integrate into the study and life of NCEPU as soon as possible, be diligent in learning, and be active to Seek knowledge and be brave to practice.

KHISHIGDELGER, the representative of new international students and the Mongolian graduate student majoring in power engineering and engineering thermo physics in 2023, said in his speech that she will work hard to learn professional knowledge, bring Chinese solutions and Chinese wisdom back to Mongolia, and strive to become an envoy of friendly exchanges between China and Mongolia.

On behalf of the university, Bi Tianshu extended a warm welcome to all the new international students in the class of 2023. Bi Tianshu pointed out that the successful admission of the new international students in the class of 2023 has made the NCEPU family stronger, more vibrant and energetic. After introducing the school’s development history and achievements in detail, Bi Tianshu emphasized that the university provides a wealth of academic resources and innovation platforms for international students. She hopes that international students will make good use of these resources to achieve outstanding achievements in the academic field and continue to demonstrate their talents. Bi Tianshu put forward three hopes for international students. First, cherish learning opportunities, improve learning ability, cultivate autonomy, creativity, and practicality in learning, be brave enough to face setbacks, and pursue excellence, so that studying at NCEPU becomes the most precious memory in life; secondly, it is to promote exchanges between Chinese and foreign civilizations, look at the world from the perspective of appreciation, mutual learning, and sharing, and promote communication between different cultures; thirdly, while learning the major well, go to various parts of China to visit and see more, and learn more deeply Understand China, introduce a true, three-dimensional and comprehensive China to more friends around you, tell Chinese stories well, and be an international disseminator of Chinese culture.

In the orientation session, Police Officer Jia Xianlin of the Entry and Exit Management Brigade of Changping Public Security Bureau gave a special lecture on laws, regulations and safety education to all international students. Three teachers from the International Student Affairs Department of the International Education Institute, Lu Sizhu, Wu Wanshu, and Wang Tianma, respectively explained matters related to undergraduate and postgraduate academic affairs and school rules and disciplines.
